Maia Banks is a public health leader, entrepreneur, coach, facilitator, creative, and founder of Maibright LLC. Throughout her career, coaching, mentoring, leadership development, and community engagement have been consistent threads in her work.
Drawing on decades of experience leading programs, developing leaders, strengthening organizations, and supporting individuals across the public, private, nonprofit, and community sectors, Maia is passionate about helping people navigate change, discover new possibilities, and move forward with purpose.
Following her own unexpected career transition after many years of federal service, Maia transformed challenge into purpose by helping create new pathways of support for others facing similar experiences. She is the visionary behind RIF2RISE, Inc., a member of its founding team, and currently serves as its Executive Director. Through RIF2RISE, she works alongside fellow founders, board members, volunteers, and community partners to support former federal employees and contractors as they navigate transition, reinvention, and renewal.
Through Maibright, Maia designs coaching experiences, workshops, retreats, and creative tools that foster reflection, growth, and meaningful connection. She is also the creator of SnapKu®, a haiku-inspired word game that brings people together through creativity, reflection, and fun.
At the heart of Maia's work is a belief in the power of community. Through the Maibright Collective, she collaborates with facilitators, creatives, and community partners to create experiences that help individuals and organizations grow, connect, and thrive.
